Ivan Toney is reportedly on the verge of transferring to the Saudi Pro League as Brentford have given the green light to a £40m offer from Al Ahli for the talented striker.

The England forward has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United, but looks set for a move to Saudi Arabia.

The 28-year-old is now due to have a medical in London before signing a four-year deal with his new club in the Saudi Pro League.

Remarkably Al Ahli have also agreed a deal with Napoli to sign Victor Osimhen as they line-up an incredible new strikeforce of the Nigerian and the Englishman.

The move for the 25-year-old striker has been agreed at around €80m (£67.25m), with a four-year contract being offered, worth around £21m per year.

Osimhen and Toney are set to join the likes of Roberto Firmino, Riyad Mahrez, Franck Kessie and Edouard Mendy at Al Ahli.

The team, managed by German Matthias Jaissle, has opened the season with a win and a draw in their first two games.

Toney was left out of the Brentford squad by Thomas Frank for their opening two Premier League games of the season, but the Bees boss sounded unclear on his future after a loss to Liverpool on Saturday.

‘Ivan trained the whole week,’ Frank said. ‘Trained with a good attitude in every aspect. He could be involved, he could not be involved.

‘He could be here after August 30 and he could not be here. Basically, everything is up in the air. I’ve said the whole time that if he’s here I’m very happy, if he’s not here then I’m happy on his behalf. Who knows, let’s see, let’s see what will happen.’
