India is set to engage in a five-match T20I series against England, moving away from red-ball mode. The action will begin on January 22 at the iconic Eden Gardens located in Kolkata. The head coach of the Indian team is counting on the dynamic Hardik Pandya to make a significant impact in the series, using his raw talent to help the team secure victories on the field. As a former vice-captain for India, Pandya has set his sights on achieving major milestones in this upcoming game against England.

Hardik Pandya has clinched 14 wickets against England in T20Is. If he clinches 6 more wickets in the T20I series against England, then he will become first Indian player to take 20 wickets against the English team in T20Is. If Pandya takes 3 wickets in the first T20I game then he will leave Yuzvendra Chahal to become the Indian with most wickets against England.

List of Indians with most T20I wickets against England:

Yuzvendra Chahal- 16

Hardik Pandya- 14

Jasprit Bumrah- 9

Bhuvneshwar Kumar- 9

Hardik Pandya is just 11 wickets away from surpassing Chris Jordan to become the highest wicket-taker in India vs England T20Is.

Hardik Pandya has scored 1700 runs and scalped 89 wickets for India in T20I cricket. He is 11 wickets away from equalling the feat of 100 T20I wickets. If he does so during the series, Pandya will emerge as the first player in India to achieve the incredible double of scoring more than 1500 runs and taking 100 wickets in T20Is.

He will also become the second player to achieve this in T20I history, with Bangladesh legend Shakib Al Hasan being the other man who has achieved this feat scoring 2551 runs and taking 149 wickets.
