New Delhi: Indian team faces a major setback as star wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant had to retire hurt after injuring his knee while keeping during the first Test against New Zealand in Bengaluru on Thursday. The incident occurred when Pant misjudged a delivery from Ravindra Jadeja, resulting in a blow to his right knee.

Pant received on-field medical attention but was unable to continue playing. He exited the field with assistance from support staff, visibly in considerable pain.
