: After winning three straight NCAA championships at UCLA, Wicks was the second overall pick in the 1971 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers. He made an immediate impact, winning Rookie of the Year and earning the first of four straight All-Star selections in his debut season. After five seasons in Portland, Wicks played the remainder of his NBA career in Boston (1976-78) and San Diego (1978-81). In 760 career NBA games, Wicks tallied 12,803 points (16.8 ppg), 6,620 rebounds (8.7 rpg) and 2,437 assists (3.2 apg). 

CJ McCollum (Sept. 19, 1991)

: Set to enter his 12th NBA season in 2024-25 with the New Orleans Pelicans, McCollum was the 10th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers. He was named the NBA’s Most Improved Player in 2016 as he formed a standout backcourt with All-Star Damian Lillard until a trade to New Orleans in 2022. A dynamic scorer and 3-point shooter, McCollum enters the 2024-25 season with career totals of 14,231 points (19.5 ppg), 2,655 rebounds (3.6 rpg), 2,778 assists (3.8 apg) and 1,818 3-pointers made (on 39.9% shooting).

Dejounte Murray (Sept. 19, 1996)

: The 6-foot-5 guard is set to enter his eighth NBA season in 2024-25 and his first with the New Orleans Pelicans. Drafted 29th overall by San Antonio in the 2016 NBA Draft, Murray played five seasons with the Spurs as a standout defender – earning All-Defensive Second Team honors in 2018 and leading the NBA in steals in 2022, when he also earned his first All-Star selection. Murray was traded to Atlanta in June 2022 and played two seasons with the Hawks before being traded to New Orleans in July 2024.

Trae Young (Sept. 19, 1998)

: Through his first six NBA seasons, Young has established himself as an exceptional scorer and playmaker – averaging 25.5 points and 9.5 assists through 407 career games.
