Top 15 NBA Free Agents to Keep an Eye on Post Trade Deadline

If your team missed out on the trade deadline upgrade, fret not as free agency is just around the corner in less than five months.

Here are 15 players who might be available this summer, with a number to know for each…

All stats are through Feb. 5.

1. Big-name vets with options for 2025-26

All have player options unless otherwise noted.

1. James Harden, LA Clippers

Ranks third with 17.3 isolations per 100 possessions, according to Second Spectrum tracking. The Clippers have scored 1.09 points per possession when a Harden iso has led directly to a shot, turnover or trip to the line, a rate which ranks 13th among 64 players with at least 100 direct isolations this season.

2. Kyrie Irving, Dallas Mavericks

This would be his fifth season shooting 40% or better on at least 200 3-point attempts and 90% or better on at least 100 3-point attempts. Only Stephen Curry (9) and Steve Nash (6) have as many.

3. LeBron James, Los Angeles Lakers

Has shot 53.9% in the clutch over the last two seasons, a mark that only trails Nikola Jokić (55.6%) and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (54.3%) among 40 players with at least 75 clutch field goal attempts (including playoffs) since the start of last season.

4. Khris Middleton, Washington Wizards

Has shot 148-for-257 (57.6%) from mid-range over the last two seasons. His 58.5% last season was the best mark for a player with at least 150 mid-range attempts in the 29 seasons for which we have shot-location data.

5. Julius Randle, Minnesota Timberwolves

Over the last five seasons, 59% of his assists have been on 3-pointers. That’s the second-highest rate (trailing only that of Giannis Antetokounmpo) among 182 players with at least 500 total assists since the start of the 2020-21 season.

6. Russell Westbrook, Denver Nuggets

Has 110 assists to Nikola Jokić. That’s tied for the most from one player to a single teammate this season.

7. Santi Aldama, Memphis Grizzlies

One of two players – Ty Jerome is the other – that have shot 50% or better on at least 250 field goal attempts and 40% or better on at least 100 3-point attempts off the bench.

8. Moussa Diabaté, Charlotte Hornets (two-way)

The Hornets have been 16.3 points per 100 possessions better with him on the floor (plus-5.9) than they’ve been with him off the floor (minus-10.4). That’s the third biggest on-off differential (trailing only those of Jokić and Gilgeous-Alexander) among players who’ve played at least 500 minutes.

9. Josh Giddey, Chicago Bulls

One of two players – Nikola Jokić is the other – who’ve played at least 1,000 minutes and averaged at least 15 points, eight rebounds and eight assists per 36 minutes.

10. Jonathan Kuminga, Golden State Warriors

His 23.2 points per 36 minutes is the highest mark of his career, but his true shooting percentage of 53.9% is the worst mark in his four seasons by a healthy margin.

11. Cam Thomas, Brooklyn Nets

Ranks sixth in usage rate at 32.0% and the Nets have scored 9.1 more points per 100 possessions with him on the floor (115.1) than they have with him off the floor (106.0).

3. Unrestricted free agents

12. Brandon Ingram, Toronto Raptors

Ranks third with 7.2 pull-up 2-point attempts per game. His 46.1% on pull-up 2s ranks 19th among 51 players with at least 100 total attempts.

13. Caris LeVert, Atlanta Hawks

Has an effective field goal percentage of 55.4%, the best mark of his career by a wide margin.

14. Myles Turner, Indiana Pacers

One of five players who’ve averaged at least 1.5 3-pointers and 1.5 blocks per game.

15. Guerschon Yabusele, Philadelphia 76ers

One of four players who’ve shot 60% or better on at least 150 2-points attempts and 40% or better on at least 150 3-point attempts.
